On June 30th, the National Energy Group held the monthly production and operation meeting for July as well as the promotion meeting for high-quality development of new energy, summarizing the production and operation achievements in June and the first half of the year, analyzing and assessing the new situations and challenges currently faced, and arranging key work for the next stage. Feng Laifa, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Group of the Group Company, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Fu Zhenbang, member of the Party Group and Deputy General Manager, interpreted the "Guiding Opinions on High-quality Development of New Energy during the '15th Five-Year Plan' Period of the Group Company" (hereinafter referred to as the "Guiding Opinions"). Yang Peng, member of the Party Group and Deputy General Manager, presided over the meeting. Liu Jingshan, member of the Party Group and Chief Accountant, and Wang Zichao, member of the Party Group and Deputy General Manager, also attended the meeting.

The meeting fully affirmed the achievements made by the group company in production and operation during the first half of the year. In the first half, all departments and units of the group company adhered to the principle of seeking progress while maintaining stability, improving quality and efficiency, and anchored on the goals and tasks set at the annual work meeting of the group. They made every effort to ensure safety, stabilize supply, improve quality and efficiency, and promote development. All aspects of production and operation achieved good results, with all ten primary production indicators achieving positive year-on-year growth, and nine indicators exceeding the annual progress. On the basis of achieving a "good start" in the first quarter, the group successfully achieved "more than half" in terms of both time and tasks, and the high-quality development trend of the "15th Five-Year Plan" continued to be consolidated.

Regarding the next step of work, Feng Laifa emphasized that this year marks the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and also the first year of the "15th Five-Year Plan". It is of great significance to do a good job in various tasks related to peak load during summer and ensuring safe supply. Firstly, we must enhance our political awareness and resolutely win the battle to ensure safe supply during peak load. We must firmly adhere to the bottom line of safe production, further intensify efforts to manage major disasters, further strengthen the implementation of business security responsibilities, deeply reflect on the underlying causes of accidents; solidly carry out flood prevention and control work, improve pre-flood hidden danger investigation and rectification, perfect the early warning linkage mechanism for extreme weather, prepare sufficient flood control emergency supplies, and strengthen duty and guard during the flood season; fully implement energy supply guarantee work, effectively ensure coal production and supply, comprehensively enhance peak load power supply guarantee capacity, fully leverage the role of publicity and guidance, and stimulate the enthusiasm of personnel at all levels for entrepreneurship and innovation. Secondly, we must accurately grasp the situation and challenges, and firmly grasp the various tasks of production and operation in the second half of the year. We must strengthen marketing and increase revenue, and all units involved in coal, electricity, and transportation should seize the favorable opportunity of peak load during summer, fully explore profit potential, and effectively improve overall operational quality and efficiency; refine benchmarking and cost control, conscientiously implement the cost leadership strategy, focus on micro-level cost reduction and macro-level source optimization and efficiency improvement, and comprehensively promote systematic changes in cost control. Thirdly, we must firmly establish the concept of green development and unswervingly promote green and low-carbon transformation. We must strengthen the guidance of the "15th Five-Year Plan" strategic planning; thoroughly implement the "Guiding Opinions", firmly establish a sense of crisis, opportunity, and competitiveness, and promote high-quality development with equal emphasis on scale, quality, and compliance of new energy; coordinate and promote the clean and efficient development and utilization of coal, and accelerate the construction of a new pattern of coordinated development between traditional and new energy.

The meeting reported on the implementation status of the production and operation, safety and environmental protection, investment plan, and supply chain plan of the group company in June, deployed key tasks for production and operation, safety and environmental protection, investment, and supply chain in July, and publicized the "Guiding Opinions".
